Wow... I cannot say enough about this book. The author did something slightly controversial by writing in the point of view of an African-American housekeeper in 1960s Jackson, Mississippi. The author was a white woman who grew up in the same town with her own housekeeper. A woman who inspired her to write the book. I think Stockett did a great job talking in the voice of Aibileen and Minny. Minny was by the character I identified the most with. Loud-mouthed and sassy, she helps her friend Aibil

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The characters were amazing to follow...I feel like I went through their experiences with them and just did not want the story to end. I also recommend reading the author's thoughts at the very end...so interesting to hear her talk about writing on sensitive topics.
