So... this is the best book ever, right? I mean, is there anyone who's read this book who hasn't cried their eyes out? Just read it, if you haven't already. Or even if you have!
A couple of things struck me on this, my third reading. First is the fact that Liesel only steals books on a "need-to-have" basis. Even though she only has a few books, she gets as much mileage out of them as possible before acquiring another. I already knew this book was the most amazing book in the world because I first read it two years ago, all in one day. I must have gotten the ending confused with another book or something, because I can't have just forgotten... but I did, and I have been sobbing for the last half an hour, and I can't stop. It's the most beautiful, haunting, heartbreaking story in the world.

This book was amazing! Sooo beautiful and moving. I haven't read any World War II era books in a long time because I used to have to read so many back in school. That's probably why I waited a few years to read this.
