I read "Sunrise over Fallujah", it takes place in Fallujah it is a middle east country that has been over taken by war. This is the story of the soldiers over there seeking to make it a better place to live by taking out terrorists.
The setting of this book is during the summer of about 2005 in Fallujah, there were many conflicts in the story, Robin "Birdy" Perry shot a kid who posed a threat to him with a gun, Birdy didnt want to shoot him but he had to otherwise he would have died. He was very sad because of what he did. There was also many other battles in the book where he lost friends.
This book was a great book for anyone who has thought about joining the military. I recommend this book to anyone who has lost a friend or family member during the "War on Terror" it has a great message to it about why it is important to have soldiers in the middle east. I rate it at 4/5, it was a great book and it had a positive message but there where a few parts that made the book fiction, I wish it would have all been factual information, But I would still recommend it to a friend.
