There is something about this story that is so haunting. And so terrifying because of the way Bradbury explores the darker sides of human nature. The sides that hurt others as well as ourselves.
I also felt melancholy reading about the emotions of the two boys as they are growing up. I felt all those things once upon a time. I remember feeling afraid too. And I am afraid of feeling how Mr Halloway feels when I am older.

Liked a lot about this- writing style is creepy and ethereal. Manages to actually be scary at parts, not something easily done in writing.
I loved the character of Charles Halloway and his struggle to exist as a person who is aging. Hilarious at times.
Occasionally the writing lost me a bit, but the parts I was able to drop in the story I was really in it. Some of the ending felt trite, but given when this was written maybe it was more original at the time.
