I had very high expectations for this book. Several people I know read it and loved it, and I love anything that has to do with time travel so this seemed to have all of the elements of a favorite book right there. But it fell flat.
Maybe this is a guy vs girl thing. Chicks think this story is romantic, finding the perfect, eccentric, man who just happens to be a fantastic lover... but he disappears from time-to-time, oh and he can win the Lotto... at will. I don't know, maybe I need to get the f ...more

You have to have a lot of forgiveness and an open mind for a work about time travel written by someone who is not Carl Sagan, scientist, time theorist or whatever. Most stories will be highly unlikely and incredibly flawed.

What I enjoyed most about this book was that it was an entirely original concept. I also liked that it was written in first person and from alternating characters. The worst thing about it is that it should have ended much sooner, or at least differently. The author got off track somewhere in my opinion. I almost gave this two stars except that the idea is so good it is still worth the read simply for a change of pace.

This is my first review, so it's going to be short. I really liked this book, although I always get lost in time travel paradoxes. The ending was powerful and the characters very well done. I actually bought this book for my sister after I read it because I thought she'd enjoy it. Much more than the soft sci-fi novel I was expecting.
