What Members Thought
When I initially read this the first time I was 16 years old and had been incredibly sheltered my whole life (I was raised Mormon in the middle of nowhere by an extremely conservative family) I didn't grasp the non-linear narrative or the message of the novel. I didn't really even like it. But it stuck with me. Certain scenes kept coming up in my dreams and thoughts. I am so glad I re-read it to finally understand the dark humor and appreciate this neo-classic novel.
