What Members Thought
After reading this a few months ago, it has found its way into my 'favourite' shelf. Despite having already read it, I am excited to read it again and plan to do so in the coming months. I was hesitant to bother reading it first, having watched the movie a dozen times already, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the movie didn't spoil it for me (as they usually do). Ugh! Even though I liked the movie, I really hated the book. It truly annoyed me. S. Morgenstern annoyed me with his dribble in the parentheses, examples: "That night, alone in her room, she examined herself pore by pore in her mirror (This is after mirrors)" or "I'll leave the lad an acre in my will (They had acres then.)" or "The Land of Florin was set between where Sweden and Germany would eventually settle. (This is before Europe.)" or "All her clothes came from Paris (this is after Paris)"

Except for a handful of pages of backstory for Inigo and Fezzik (which was nice to know), this was pretty much verbatim to the movie. If you've seen the movie, there's almost no need to read this.
