These two titles are best treated as one, for they form a continuous narrative with a break point that appears arbitrary. I'm torn between giving this novel 3 and 4 stars.
All Clear continues where Blackout left off. Our time traveling protagonists are still stranded in WWII London during the Blitz, and their buddies uptime are still taking a while to notice.
Everything that I said in my Blackout review still stands, but with a few additions.

A wonderfully bittersweet time travel mindfuck that made me cry, laugh, and bite my nails as I tried to piece together puzzle fragments scattered through time. It takes patience to get to the end but the ride (and conclusion) is completely worth it. Just brilliant!
This is a sequel (or a continuation of) Blackout. These books seem to be based on the premise that if it can go wrong, it will. There is some time stream philosophizing, attempts to go home (back to the future!), and a mo ...more
