9/28/2014: yup - still a favorite - so hard to close it when it ends, wondering, as Bod has reached his jumping off point, where he will go to and what he will see. This is so different from other books dealing with similar ideas because the supernatural bits, the 'adventure' bits, while important, seem details in the midst of this biggest adventure - growing up, discovering one's name.

I loved this book! I've read the novel and the graphic novels but my favorite version of this story is the Audiobook narrated by Neil Gaiman and a full cast.
I listen to a lot of audiobooks and this one is up in the top 5-10 I've ever listened to. It's fun for all ages except for some parts that might be kind of scary to younger children. It's really great for adults, middle grades, older kids and teenagers. ...more
