This is one of the first (or at least one of the most popular) 'cyberpunk' novels and a classic of that genre. I found in difficult to follow the plot during the first half or so of the novel, as it was difficult to keep track of all of the different characters and follow and understand some of the techno/cyberpunk jargon.
