The best way I can describe my reaction to it is with this wonderful quote from Mary Doria Russell - "Cheese has a longer shelf life than Science Fiction."
( And, for the record, I think Ms. Russell's science fiction has ABSOLUTELY no shelf life issues. Her books are like Twinkies. Decades later they're still fresh! )
