This is the best short story collection I've ever read. Nine of the eleven stories are so remarkable that they sat with me for days after listening to them. I think they will be with me always.

A fascinating collection of contemporary fiction suffused with themes regarding our future, language, technology, or the natural consequence of current social ideas. Originally Published as "Stories of Your Life and Others" in 2002, the book consists of 8 short stories, including "Story of Your Life", which is the basis of the 2016 movie "Arrival". Wouldn't be surprised if more of these stories were adapted into movies in the future.

Four stars -- strongly recommended.
