I've been avoiding this series. Finally decided to give it a go anyway, and am happy I did.

I found it very hard to get my mind off this book when I wasn't able to listen to it during my commute. I loved the story, characters, heroism, despair, atmosphere, setting and hard situations the characters had to make along the way for their survival. Towards the end it almost seemed like they weren't human anymore.
