What Members Thought

This hit just the right notes with me. It has it all, a likeable main character who doesn't take himself too seriously, space exploration, an apocalypse, new aliens, & more without getting too confusing or verbose. A lot of interesting points are made about our future & especially about replicating the human mind in a machine. It's not true science, but there's enough logic to make me wonder. This was a treat of a book, a really fun story! The gist of it is that the Earth goes crazy, a former tech guru dies and is uploaded to the cloud and then brought back 100 years later to populate a ship that is seeking livable planets in the universe to ultimately save the human race.
I listened to the audio book, my first time in a decade, and the narrator manages to pull off the original Bob and ten or so of his clones in an enjoyable, funny, and realistic way.
