Gosh, what a great book! This is a fantasy novel for people who aren't doing Disney dragons any more. And if you have ever felt that the works of Charles Dickens could be improved by the addition of cannibalism, winged flight, and buried treasure, then this is the book for you!

I don't think this novel was good as it could have been. The story dragged in the first half, but it got better in the second. I'm not quite sure why.

Mildly interesting. It began well, I liked the dragon culture, but it just became boring.
