This was my second book by Stephen King, and possibly one of the best stories I've ever read. Some of these characters I'll never forget, and some of these events will be branded in my mind, whether I want it or not.
That, I think, is how powerful The Stand is. It is a perfect story, amazingly written, taking you up and (mostly) down, and never letting you look astray. The Stand is the longest story that you just have to keep on reading. ...more
