It's an entertaining detective story set in world ravaged by the virus which causes people to be cut off from their senses and locked into their minds. I found the world building more impressive than the detective plot of our locked in hero as FBI agent investigating a puzzling death. I guessed the twist early on. I felt a bit disoriented as I started reading this, in a good way, trying to figure out what a threep is, why an Integrator is different than a threep, etc. Scalzi answers these questi ...more
