4 1/2 stars for an incredible story, part medical thriller, part police procedural, part science fiction, and entirely awesome! This story would make an incredible movie.

A fun scifi murder mystery. Good for when you want something quick and not too taxing.
I find it really fun to not know the gender of the protagonist. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure we are never told that information. It takes nothing away from the story or the world-building. One might say it actually adds to the world-building considering the widespread use of threeps.
