This book hits different in a reread after having Haymitch’s POV. I’ll reread this series over and over again.
I was working with an agent who made this required reading. The strength being a world where the details make the imaginary place believable. I'll go with that, it's totally consistent in terms of place and tone.

I found a copy of this in the East Timor Backpackers and read it in a day. I loved the plot - incredibly gripping.
