cause i like the title =)
Generally, I dislike books written about writing a book or movies about making a movie. The artist always becomes too specific with their personal struggles.
This novel seemed to be putting itself on a pedestal. It has some great plot lines, but I don't feel like they truly come together. It seems like a meandering ramble that never truly pays off. This book is similar to 1984 in that there is a big brother, but as 1984 is about big controlling government, this book is about big controlling religions / spirituality. Thus, the journey is different but more relevant for today.
The character development of two main characters is excellent, and this their spiritual growth is easy to detect and feels appropriate based on the action in the novel.
