Pushing the Limits was a powerful, absorbing novel that had me hooked right from the first word, to the last! From the brilliant characters to the equally brilliant unique story-line, this book was...amazing!

In one night, Echo Emerson went from the top of the social pyramid to loner freak. But when she meets Noah, she realises that the path to your destiny isn't always an easy one, and breaking all of the rules could mean finding all she's ever wanted....

Katie McGarry's beautiful, intense writing had me spellbound, and she created such vivid, complex characters that I couldn't help but love. I thought I would really enjoy this book, but I didn't just enjoyed it...I loved it! There are only very few books that have me on the verge of tears, but Pushing the Limits was one of those few and this book had me so emotionally attached to all of the characters.

The characters were....just amazing! I liked Echo straight away. She was so strong, and even with all that happened to her,I loved her feisty, determined personality. Noah, despite being portrayed as the "bad boy" of the story, really did have a big soft side. You could really see a distinct change in him from when he met Echo. I absolutely adored how Katie McGarry created such fantastic, realistic characters that will stick with me for a long, long time! Noah's two friends, Beth and Isaiah were also both really interesting characters with such unusual personalities. Isaiah was one of my favorite characters. He was a really distinct, unique character and despite the, even though didn't narrate like Echo and Noah did, you got to know loads about him and I think he really added to the book. Beth was another intriguing character. I didn't get to know much about her, and even though I thought she could be really horrible to Echo.....**spoiler** there was one point in the book that I thought Beth did really relate to Echo **spoiler over** and I wish I had gotten to see more of that side of her included in the book.

Another element of this book I loved was the narrative switch-over. Whilst Echo and Noah both told the stories of falling in love with each other, they also both had separate stories. Echo is trying to deal with her scars, and is trying to piece together the memory of the night that changed her life, and Noah is trying to win custody of his two younger brothers and I loved how you could see them both really developing as characters. Whilst a more softer and caring side of Noah started to show when he was with Echo, Echo came out of her shell a bit more and I absolutely loved them together!

Pushing the Limits was a really unique, extremely emotional novel. The plot was beautifully written, and Echo and Noah were defiantly one of my favourite fictional characters.

When Echo is giving the chance to make some extra money to fix the car her brother was working on before he left she jumps at the chance. Hoping that fixing his car will heal her heart. Echo knows who Noah is but she doesn’t really know his story. As the two share a few classes she works to help him catch up but learns more about herself than she knew. They each have their own issues they need to deal with hers are finding out what really happened and he wants to gain custody of his brothers. Together they come up with a plan to steal their files but end up falling for each other. As the truth comes out will it tear them apart?

I love Echo she’s got issues which makes her easy to connect with. I loved Noah he’s one of those guys that family is important he’s got issues like Echo but that’s what allows them help each other heal. I can’t imagine being in either ones it can’t be easy but they handle them well. I really fell in love with both Echo and Noah they may very well be my favorite couple of 2013.

I’ve been meaning to read Pushing the Limits for ever but I’m still new to the New Adult genre so I was a little hesitant. I wish I hadn’t waited so long because Pushing the Limits stole my heart. The characters are engaging easy to connect with and I was sucked into the story till the very end. I was dying to know what would happen next and if everything would work out for them. I had a hard time putting the book down with my family in the house for the holiday. The author has created an emotional story that smashes your heart and mends it all within the covers. I love a book that can pull me into the story so much I get emotional for the characters. However it was all worth the emotional roller-coaster because the book is beautifully done. The author has done a brilliant job creating a story that touches the heart. I’m super excited to read the rest of the books because I know from peaking they are characters we got to know in book one. I honestly loved this book it’s a must for anyone who enjoys New Adult. Echo and Noah are my new favorite couple and very well could be the my favorite of the whole year.
