In the third installment of the Mortal Instrument series, the City of Glass is attacked by Valentine and his demons. Clary, who isn't even supposed to be there after Jace tricked her by telling her to wrong time for when they were leaving, discovers even she can make portals, and Simon, never one to be left behind, manages to get dragged there by Jace rather than being left to die.

I very much liked this book. It was nice to get something of a resolution and a lot of loose ends are tied up. I love that it ends happily for all of the characters while leaving things open for future installments.

OMG, OMG, thank you to everyone who told me to stick with this series! I just absolutely loved City of Glass. I fell more in love with Jace *sigh*, and I became far more invested in Clary, Luke, Simon, Isabelle, Alec, even Magnus. lol ...What a satisfying, fantastic climactic ending. I will DEFINITELY be sticking with this series, and delving into ID, next.

I really enjoyed reading the author's notes in this out-take. It was interesting to hear her ideas and why she changed some of the scenes the way that she did.
