One. Four. Three… The three numbers that comes into my mind when I think of City of Glass. It’s more than just the simple I LOVE YOU [Jace] LOL!

ONE word I keep muttering as I was finishing the book : WOW!

FOUR syllable word I said after turning over the last page : IN–CRED–I–BLE!

THREE words that can sum up how I feel about this novel : ALL TIME FAVORITE!

I’ve always loved the character of the Mortal Instruments, so I was very pleased to see them grow here in City of Glass. Even though I had One. Four. Three… The three numbers that comes into my mind when I think of City of Glass. It’s more than just the simple I LOVE YOU [Jace] LOL!

I’ve always loved the character of the Mortal Instruments, so I was very pleased to see them grow here in City of Glass. Even though I had uncertainties about the second book, City of Ashes, Clare did not disappoint me here. Everything was just as I wanted it. I love how unpredictable this has turned out to be. Really! There were some events that I just went, “Whoa! I did not see that coming!” or “Wwwwhaaaattt??? No way!” or I would just eventually find myself gasping, laughing, giggling or unconsciously be holding my breath. And since I’m such a sucker for happy endings, I love how this ended.

As for Clare’s writing, it is rather remarkable. Okay, I will yield to those who said there are similarities with J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter. But as one my favorite authors, Shannon Hale, wrote on one of her blogs, when you’re starting as a writer/author, you get some of your inspiration from your favorite novels and authors. And sometimes, you’ll even write similarly to them, and it’s okay because eventually you will find your own writing style. Those aren’t her exact words but somehow that’s how I understood it. Anyway, my point is I finally saw what she was trying to say through Clare’s books, sure, they had somewhat similar notions with the villains, or the recognition of character traits from HP here as well but despite the resemblance, it has its own plot which is unique and captivating.

Moving on, I’d just like to say that I have developed an emotional attachment towards this series and I will definitely never forget the experience I’ve had with reading it.

Totally un-freaking-belivable!!I love to write reviews, specially when they're worth it, but...words don't do justice with this book, you just have to pluck it from that shelve in your favorite bookstore and see what I am talking about. City of Glass is just THAT good--an amazing ending to an amazing Trilogy.
Clare, however, leaves an opening for a prequel. Though it ended exceptionally well, she places two rocks in the story that don't allow the flow run smoothly, and it makes the reader wonder ...more

The City of Glass is the third novel in the Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare.

Everything is uncovered in this book and our characters get their Happily Ever Afters.

Clary is a strong, beautiful, artistic girl who thought she was just a regular teenager. After a trip to a club, she was introduced to a world within a world. Her mother was abducted, her father figure denied her, her best friend confessed his love, and the boy she fell for turned out to be her brother. Throughout the books The City of Glass is the third novel in the Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare.

Everything is uncovered in this book and our characters get their Happily Ever Afters.

Clary is a strong, beautiful, artistic girl who thought she was just a regular teenager. After a trip to a club, she was introduced to a world within a world. Her mother was abducted, her father figure denied her, her best friend confessed his love, and the boy she fell for turned out to be her brother. Throughout the books, Clary has grown into her shadow hunter abilities and extraordinary gifts that came from Valentines experiments on her in the womb.
Jace is a strong male character who masks his emotional pain by pushing people away. The father he loved abandoned him, the girl he loves is his sister, the mother he never knew left him, his surrogate family discarded him. (I think I’m going to cry) Jace has been denied by everyone who’s supposed to protect him. Like Clary, Jace has extraordinary gifts given to him through Valentine’s experiments. I loved the twists and turns in this story and I cheered when the forbidden love was no longer forbidden!

My favourite parts in the book, were when Clary’s mother tells her the truth about Jonathan. I clapped and cheered to finally hear that Jace is not Jonathan. The final battle with Clary, Jace, Valentine, and the Angel was amazing. I was thrilled when Clary was given a gift from The Angel. If you’ve read the book, you know what I mean. If you haven’t, I refuse to ruin it for you. Alec accepts his true self and expresses his feeling for Magnus. Simon is happy being friends with Clary and is turning heads with his new found confidence. Isabelle is sizing up Simon and happy to have her family together. I’ve left Max out on purpose – his story should be read first hand. In the end, even Clary’s mother and Luke get a HEA. The Down Worlders and Shadow Hunters come together in a celebration of unity.

I heard there’s a new book coming out and I can’t wait to read it.

Clary is out to the City of Glass to find a Warlock who has the antidote to her mother's coma. Once she's in the City of Glass (illegally). She goes out and searches for Jace to face him to his lies and discovers that he isn't all that upset and actually walks in a romantic scene. While she confronts Jace, She is led to know that she is the cause of his attitudes, and reminds her that from the day that she entered in his life, she destroyed it. Well, he hurt her pretty bad.
