OKAY. I TAKE ALL THAT BACK. IAN WAS EPIC. I LOVE LOVE LOVE JAKE ABEL. OMG. THE MOVIE WAS SO EPIC! I CRIED LIKE THREE TO FOUR TIMES. I CAN'T EVEN- *Breath, Saniya, breath.* ...*Sighh.*
Okay. This movie was freaking awesome and I just want to hug somebody right now. :'3

I am so sorry Jake baby. You were awesome in it. I misjudged you. Now I will love you forever. *Creepy fan-girl smile*

The Host can simply be summed up by stating that this is Stephenie Meyer's attempt at writing literature. You can tell that this is a "serious" novel.

But honestly, it's not that serious. Or really that different from Twilight.

It's true Wanderer and Melanie are slightly better than Bella. But they're still glorified Mary Sues. Plus, both of them get on my nerves. However, after having to deal with Bella I find them slightly re ...more

Before: I admit.... as soon as I saw Max Irons playing one of the main characters I am like yeah definitely reading it :P

While reading: This book is a great book... I hope the length doesn't get to me.

After Reading: This book was incredible, amazing doesn't cut it! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I love the characters and how they developed. The imagery in the novel was phenomenal, it felt like I took part in Wanda's and Melanie's journey. I cannot wait for the film to be released in March, I hope it will do the book justice which I really think it will from what I have seen in the trailer and gallery. I admit the start was quite slow and it took me a little while to really get into it, but once I got into it I seriously regretted putting it down to go off and do something like work. I thought if Stephanie were only going to make one book she should not have left it the way she did, she could have cut it off half way through the epilogue where they all got their happy endings or at least most did. If she plans on making a trilogy which I am all for, then I would have to say I am satisfied with the ending of The Host. I really want to know if the humans will get their world back!

And the verdict you have all been waiting for... Twilight VS The Host. I never really compare genres and series, normally base them on the individual book itself. I must say The Host was x 100 better than Twilight, I was never one of those obsessed fans. The reason I say this is because the story is more interesting, it really takes you on a phenomenal journey and is just not like the other books out there! I have faith in your writing again Stephanie Meyer!

Highly recommend. Must read before the film comes out! I am also wanting to look at the Host Companion book, I want to see the set and how everything looks before I go and check it out on the big screen! I rate this 4.5 stars, I think there were some things that could have been left out and the book could have been more engaging from the beginning but apart from that it was excellent!
