Alex cork has to be one of the scariest villains I have read in Konrath a books. I love that this book ran in real time.
She and the other bad guys in this book certainly kept Jack and her friends and loved ones guessing.
Alex feeds off fear and pain. It makes her both ( for me) fun to read yet also so terrifying.

i really love this author. i have listened to all these books back to back with hardly any break. i'm addicted!! he also has good narrators on audible--a bonus!
