I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls, #1) in R-R-Rolling!

To tell you the truth, I didn't want to read this book. The cover looks cool and all but I didn't really like the Title either:
1. It seemed a little cheesy, like the stereotypical title for most teen reads
2. I just thought I could guess most of the story from looking at the title and reading the blurb (Teen goes to spy school. Meets boy. Falls in love with boy. Has to hide the fact that she is a soon-to-be spy. She finds a way to tell him and somehow the whole problem is resolved and they all li To tell you the truth, I didn't want to read this book. I was so wrong.
As soon as I started reading I realised that Ally Carter must have put a lot of thought and detail into the story and make it as cool as possible whithout sounding completely ridiculous (though, I do think that when Mr Solomon asked them very weird and challenging questions in class).
The love story was very sweet too. I liked how the story is based very loosely around the romance genre and that there was more than just "I love Josh. All I can think about is Josh. Blah Blah BLAH" like most teen romances nowadays. And Josh's character was very sweet but in my opinion he didn't resemble what I believe is an average teenage boy; I mean, the chat up lines were fine and all but I think at parts he seemed a bit too dedicated to a girl he only just met. Most guys would just call the police instead of following a van into an abandoned warehouse... but I did like the character, so I don't want to be too mean
The main character Cammie Morgan was actually pretty cool. I liked the fact that she was someone I wanted to relate to, she was strong and independant and she didn't let her heart rule her head. Also, she proved the girls can be just as good as boys and sometimes better. Most books portray females as the weak 'Damsel in distress' which always need a male character to save her, which pisses me off. But Ally Carter made her female characters independant, powerful and the whole concept of the story was bloody awesome, so for that I gave this book five stars B) ...more

Oh my gosh! I have to read the second book! It ends with a question mark (at least how i see it) and it pretty much says, "I need a new boyfriend. But who will it be?" And I'm itching to read it to see who it is...(I know: Zach) but what will he be like? ...more
