I read this novella in one sitting. It's about what happens when someone dies before they're meant to die. In the story every human, animal and other living thing has a date "allotted death-date" and if they die before that date, the go to the realm of the lost. For me this story really made me think about my own life and how I live it. I actually wondered if there is a place like the realm of the lost.
