I haven't gone through an entire book in one day in a long time. This book gripped me, however, and I could not stop listening to it (audiobook). The 11+ hours seemed to go by so fast because there was never a lull in the story. It was non-stop, edge of my seat, sphincter-clenching, wide-eyed, holy sh-t horror/action from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.

I could not put this book down. And I wanted to - so many times. What starts as a curious infection spirals into a screaming fiery pit of agony for Perry Dawsey. The psychological & physical trauma that this ex-football player goes through will leave you clinging to your blankie and praying for it all to be over soon. But it doesn't end. It just gets worse and worse and worse. No book has creeped me out so much since reading early Stephen King stories or "The Exorcist." Yeah, it's that freakin'

I will never look at chicken scissors the same again.
I really liked this story, and yes it helped the pages turning by having short chapters. I will be seeking out more by this author, and perhaps will find his podcast - if only to check it out. (I have since checked out his podcasts, and have joined the Junkies, and love Sigler)
