Very good; organized like a modern travel guide to a foreign country. Fascinating chapter on clothing.
LOVED it!!!! This is the sort of book that I'll recommend to the next 50 people that I see, whether or not they look like the sort of people who'd enjoy learning about medieval England. It was just fascinating to me. Mortimer stuffs this book full of the kind of details that I always wanted to know, but that every other author skips right over. Mortimer's title and subtitle tell it all. I could hardly be better acquainted with the fourteenth century had I access to the TARDIS.
