Dragged a bit but I realized it was a transition to prepare you for the next book! Didn't like how Damen was healed or the fact that Ever really doesn't trust anyone but the wrong people when they have already proven to be not trustworthy but she's only 16 so what can we actually expect. I thought the book was well written despite some of the reviews I read; though some parts are a bit twilighty it was still more original than anything. I have a like/hate relationship with this book. It irritated me to death the first third, I mean it literally took me a entire day to read the first 100 or so pages. I just couldn't get into the book. The only reason I stayed around was for Damen (& the fact I promised myself I would finish every book and/or series I started).
