I loved this collection of short stories. I love the complexity of characters and their motivations. The author explores the universal issues of our time--the effects of grief and loss, missed connections and silences, separation and alienation against the background of her cultural background. The last story, "Hema and Kaushik", was utterly heartbreaking, but in one of those ways that feels cleansing and makes you want to cling on to your significant other at all cost.
