This one took quite a while to get into, even though the story is happening from the very first page. Lainie Capshaw, daughter of a famous (dead) bullrider, is a part-time sports med tech on two rodeo circuits where she is sleeping with one man in each. Right away they bump into each other and she finds out they are childhood friends. Rather than choose one over the other, she ends up traveling with them both for a three week period. I like my menage to remain menage. I like 3 people coming together to make it work. Otherwise you either have an occasional kinky indulgence (fine) or a contest (not fine). This was a contest. I felt bad for Lainie & Kyle having to deal with Hank. I did not feel bad for Hank. Hank was an ass.
And it has an attempted rapist not only getting away with it but with his victim getting fired for complaining. No justice at all. Real life? Sure. But this is fiction. #metoo fictional heroines.
