Whole lot of crazy and not enough Rock N Roll…. I really did not know what to expect going into this book. I am still reeling from this book 24 hours later. All I can say is WOW! Craaazzzy!
Gone Girl is a great read, an emotional rollercoaster featuring 1 1/2” whackos" (Nick only half crazy to me) who marrying each other. Nick is a magazine writer from Missouri who feels guilty for his charming good looks. Amy is also a writer, a beautiful blonde, and the daughter of two psychologists.

Overall this book was suspenseful and thrilling, but not until about half way through was was a little frustrating for me. I didn’t feel like the ending lived up to the hype of the book. For me it was anticlimactic…I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I’ll just leave it at that.
The novel reminded me so much of a classic noir film…..gritty characters of moral ambiguity, one transgression that spirals out of control that brings on hysteria and paranoia,a femme fatale that will blow your mind, the ...more

This one is hard to review. I have to admit I liked it because I thought the writing was very well done and kept my interest. However, I just thought it was going to be this wonderful whodunit thriller and it kind of let me down. Some other reviewer called it a "descent into madness" and that is a perfect way of putting it.

Great up until the end. I wanted to throw the book out the window. This hasn't happened since Life of Pie!

This was one of those books that I could not put down! Read it in a couple days. It is a total roller coaster. One second, you feel sorry for one of the characters, and hate them in the next. I was blown away from this story! This is a must read, in my opinion. Great book!
