I enjoyed the book but the excessive front matter and back matter bored the heck out of me. The movie follows the book very well. The stuff that was left out was minimal. This is not a reread for me, hence the 3 star.
spoiler: Morgonstern is consistently referred to as the original writer, but this is just a device that the author uses throughout the book. Pretty funny sometimes, but gets monotonous. Think of it like the joke that goes on so long that it is no longer funny.
