I have enjoyed all the Black Dagger Brotherhood books but when I started this one, I felt that it was going to be my least favorite. Wow! Was I wrong!
The story is ultimately Payne’s but it is laced with a side story about her twin, Vishous. There is a third story in the background of Xcor and his quest for vengeance for the Bloodletter. There is a lot going on here which all ties together in the end, but it’s a bumpy ride getting there.
