Loved it! Quick read but now want to keep reading the trilogy (and watch the show on Netflix!)
4.5 stars, but you can round up! I was totally not expecting to love this as much as I did! I wanted to start this series to prepare for the upcoming Netflix television series, but I didn’t have many expectations. It blew me away! The writing drew me in immediately, and I flew through the book in less than two days. It is a pretty simple story, but the world that’s created is gorgeous and fascinating. Shadow and Bone tells the story of Alina an orphan raised in the home of Duke Keramsov. Alina seems like just an ordinary girl until she is caught in a dangerous situation and her true powers are unleashed. What follows is an action packed adventure as Alina is groomed by the Grisha to help them complete their mission. Interesting plot and creative world building.
