I must admit, I was surprised at how much I liked this book. I usually find pet stories to be a little bit saccharin and lacking in depth. This was a well written story about a remarkable animal that tapped into the feelings every pet owner has for their animals. The chapter on trying to get back to her NYC apartment and her animals after 9/11 made me cry; I can completely relate. Really cute book! My husband never reads and he finished this book in a day! Then he spent the three days I read it asking if I was done yet. I think there were a few anecdotes that bored me a bit and I could have done without but overall it was a fantastic story!
