The audio version of this book was amazing. I liked that it was narrated by the author, Sherman Alexie. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian is based on the author's life experiences growing up on a reservation in the Pacific Northwest. Alexie's family was poor but they were loving and supportive and were able to overcome terrible tragedies. This is a great book. I highly recommend it!

A really easy book to read bc in some way we can all relate to Junior's struggles to become independent, yet still remain connected to his family and the world he knows. It is a great book to teach kids that they don't have to stick with what they know, they tremendous options in front of them, if they aren't afraid to work for them.

The book was interesting. I don't know too much about Indian reservations so it was cool to read about them, although also really depressing. I liked Arnold's insights throughout the book. I could have done without the several in depth mentions of boners and masturbation.
