In all honesty, I am not a fan of anything zombie related. That being said, I do like comic books and graphic novels and I enjoy The Walking Dead comic/graphic series, so when I found the trilogy of novels centred on the twisted character of The Governor I decided I'd fill the gap that exists between issues by diving into The Governor's life. The first book, Rise of the Governor, I enjoyed immensely. The second book, The Road to Woodbury, I did not. It was not written well. Specific acts of violence were repeated unnecessarily. Adjectives were misused. Entire sentences would contradict themselves. I rarely give books I read less than a 4-star rating but, in this case, I couldn't justify any rating over 3.
