I really really enjoyed this book! It seems like every book I put off, for one reason or another, always ends up being the treasure, and all the rest of the books that I'm just dying to read are not! This book somewhat reminded me of Farenheight 451 and 1984 put together, and I loved those books too. I'm so glad there is a sequel--why haven't they made this into a movie yet?

Wow! I had found this book listed on a blog that I read and though, "What the heck?" And now I am positvely itching to read the next one. It really makes you stop and think about what it means to be "pretty," not to mention having great characters, a mesmerizing plot, and a HUGE cliff hanger at the end. A worthy read.

I think this book had a really interesting concept and Westerfeld executed it well. The pacing was good and the characters were believable. I did find myself shaking my head at some of Tally's decisions but when I took a step back to remember that she was only 16 and was very sheltered, it was easy to forgive her mistakes.
