Again having two mystery plot lines in one novel is an excellent approach, but when I solved one half-way through the book, and it was the one drawn out to the last page, it was a little disappointing. Sure the answer to the other mystery was a surprise and no one I ever expected it to be, but after that was resolved I lost heart in reading to the end (though I did just to see what other side plots might begin or end).
