This book was actually really amazing. I enjoyed the Twilight series, but The Host is a million times better. Some might find Wanderer a little far fetched of a character, but I enjoyed her sweet and gentle nature. I also like the changes that almost every character undergoes in the book. It feels real, understandable. Some of the themes of the Twilight books are still present, but I feel they weren't so hit-you-over-the-head annoying in this book. I did not have high expectations for the book because it's written by Meyer but I was curious to see what it was about. After seeing the trailer for the movie, I wanted to read the book and see if it was any better than Twilight.
Definitely wayyy better than Twilight. Some parts were slow and the very end made me roll my eyes a bit but overall the story was much more interesting and less stupid.
