What Members Thought
This is a "love it or hate it" type of book, and I am still on the fence about it. It is really a series of "epic" journeys--one for each character. My problem comes about 3/4 of the way through, when a single event seems to derail one story. In turn, this derails me so much that I cannot care about the characters anymore. I think it is a worthwhile read and an intriguing first novel for Russell.

Great story and great storytelling. I was pleasantly surprised throughout the book by the plot twists.
Amazingly researched and incredibly unique. The language was haunting and poetic, though overly verbose at times.
