I'll admit that I was first drawn to this book by its titilating premise of brother/sister love, but I couldn't wait to read it after reading the fantastic reviews. Unfortunately, this book didn't live up to the hype. I disliked the shifting points of view between Lochan and Maya, which I felt had a similar voice. Beautifully told in the alternating voices of a brother and sister who fall in love while trying to hold their family together after their father remarries and moves to Australia to begin a new family and their mother falls deeper into alcoholism and becomes increasingly neglectful of her 5 children.
