A little sadder than her usual material, but still a touching story.

While this was a great read, the subject matter was tough, especially reading it from the eyes of a wife and mom. Just be sure you are in the right mood to read this one.

Giffin definitely tells a similar story each time. It always involves a married woman or man and an affair.

I do think the way that Giffin writes the story is interesting. I never thought I would feel sympathy for someone having an affair but Giffin takes you inside the mind of the person in a way where you do develop empathy.

I do not like the foreshadowing in this book because it was a little too obvious. I like to be more surprised when I read.
