[close] I grabbed this book at B&N because it had a horse on the cover and sounded interesting. I was at an event for my son's school and they got a percentage of all sales, so I felt obligated to buy something, but didn't want to spend more than $10. So, at $7.95, Green Rider was one of the best book prurchases I've ever made.

I was hooked from the start. The book is fast-paced and packed with magic--which I love. Britain takes you into the story and make you feel like you're there riding alongside Karigan as she flees the dark & mysterious hunters pursuing her. (I love the character's name, too.)

As soon as I was finished I raced to the library for the next one, and then the third. (I was thrilled, after joining goodreads.com to discover the fourth is out!)

As a rule, I don't generally re-read books. These books broke the mold on that idea. I have read Green Rider 3 times since pruchasing it, and would have read the others as much if I owned them. O HIGHLY recommend these books for the magic-loving reader. Those who like romance but are sicken by the predictable endings would enjoy the underlying love story, too.
