This full cast performance is top notch! I enjoyed every minute of the audio version of The Bad Beginning including the narration and sound effects! Fun book and excellent voice work!

I read this book a while ago and remembered finding it funny. I've seen the movie and I'm almost done with the Netflix series so I wanted to revisit the book.

I forgot how absolutely fantastic Snicket's writing it. It made me laugh out loud in several parts. I was sitting next to my husband and had to keep reading parts out loud to him that I thought were so funny. I'm also appreciating how closely the Netflix series matches the book. This series has been so popular, I finally got around to checking it out. It was pretty good. I thought the main plot was kind of convoluted, but I'm sure kids get a kick out of it. I really enjoy his writing style, and I like that he uses big words and includes contextualized definitions to aid learning (let's get those kids' vocabularies expanded!).
