So odd. I wonder if Flynn had a disturbed childhood or something because both if the books I've read by her have these completely evil characters who have no redeeming qualities. I'm still not finished with it, but the reason I read this book is because I loved Gone Girl, and so far this book is living up to the promise. It's really freaking me out so far, and Flynn is really, really good at the slow reveal. So disturbing.

The characters in this book are all very unlikable. The ending seemed quickly thrown together and it seemed a story more about exploring the character's flaws than solving a mystery.
