This was a pretty messed up book. I'm not sure that I would be able to recommend it to anyone due to the sensitive topics. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that it doesn't have merit... just that I don't need a parent getting mad because I recommended a book about incest, pedophilia, drugs, etc. I do have to say that I didn't see the ending coming - even tho I was told that there was a twist at the end. I don't know how I feel about this one. I love books in verse and I am a big fan of Ellen Hopkins. I just don't know about this particular book, maybe it is the topic that is giving pause. It was a hard book to read, one of a girl that was abused by her father. It was so vivid and real. This is a story that happens in the real world more then we would like to hear. I think that Ms. Hopkins always finds a way to take these real and difficult topics and write books about them. I know that getting ...more
