I was really captivated reading this book and was riveted by the story of Kimberly Chang and the difficulties she and her mother had when they moved to the U.S. I was really anxious to finish it and find out how they dealt with their difficulties through their years. But I must say I wasn't happy when it jumped ahead 12 years at the end to wrap things up. To me, that was too big a leap and left me feeling disappointed.
